Over the several years we've been using Web Tracks I've occasionally gotten the error STATUS: Error Saving Record. The statement has been terminated. String or binary data would be truncated.  This is becoming more frequent, just happened twice.  How can this be fixed so I can close these tickets?  Thanks for any help with this - MF

Hi,

I'm sorry to hear you are getting an error.  This error sounds like the values being saved might be too big for the database schema.  Can you let me know the version and db version you are using (open Admin--License & Registration) to find this information.

Are you getting this when you set a field to a certain ticket status or add a comment to a ticket?

Thank you,

Sorry for the slow response.  Version is 9.3.0.0, DB is 9.30.  This started back in 2013 with an earlier version with one ticket (still not able to close) and not again until 8/2017, twice.  It's more annoying than anything because I can't get the tickets out of my list.  It's only happened when I try to close the ticket.  I've was able to add a comment to one of these and it saved, but I still can't change the status.  See attached snip for details.

Hi,

Do you use any user definable checkbox fields in your tickets?

As a workaround try the following:

From the ticket list right click on the ticket and choose Change Ticket Status -- and choose a status corresponding with closed.

Does this allow you to close the ticket?

Thank you,
