I have over 400 computers registered in my WebTracks application. 400 of these computers are taking an audit license. About 150 of these computers haven't been audited in nearly 3+ years and are sitting on a shelf.

My dilemma is, I want to free up these licenses since they are no longer being audited, but I do not want to delete them as I would like to keep track of them in WT along with all their record ties.

Is there a way to remove the audit license to these machines so that I can use them on active computers? Or do you have other suggestions on how I can handle this?

Thank you.

If the computer in question no longer exists in your environment I'd recommend disposing of it.  If they do exist but are on a shelf they will still consume the audit license.

Outside of disposing of the computer a way to free up the audit license would be to delete the associated records in the sftLicense table and set the compLastAudited field to Null.

I have also lost a computer in mouse tracks. I try to add a computer name and it comes up as duplicate entry. I search through computers and it doesn't come up. Is there another way to find it. I've also tried by IP address and mac address

Are you able to change the default for Email tech group? We would like it unchecked. We want to be able to check if we need it otherwise leave it blank
