Hello,
I would like to move my webtracks installation to another server with as little distruption as possible.
The database is hosted on a separate SQL server so I'm only looking to move the website files.
I will be going from Windows Server 2003 to 2008 R2 (IIS7).

I was thinking I would install webtracks on the new server, point it at the database and presto all the settings and information would be on the new server?

Is it that easy? Are there other configuration files I should also be moving from the old server to the new server?

Hi,

It's should be that simple.  You could copy the db.config file (in the webroot folder) or you can just let it run the wizard if you remember your db settings.

If you change the default URL and also use the Email-To-Ticket converter you should edit the WebTracksWinService.exe.config file to match your new server path.  This is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Gritware\Web Tracks\WinService.

Thanks,
