Hello Support,

Maybe I am just missing the setting but is it possible to edit the Knowledge Base Article Types in the same way you can edit the support ticket categories? I see that you can add types by typing a new type into the text box when creating a knowledge base article, but you cannot remove them from here.

This could be as simple as me not being able to find the setting, maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Hi,

I agree that you should be able to edit these through the interface.  I will add this to the suggestion list.

For now you can modify this table directly in the database.  The table name is kbType.

You could also use the non-query database Window in Admin--Database maintenance to execute SQL to update this table.

Example...

Update kbType SET kbTypeActive=0 WHERE kbType='KbTypeYouWishToDeactivate'

Thank you for pointing this out.  The next release will include a way to be able to do this through the admin interface.
