Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
SQL Server 2008 R2
IIS 7.5 Installed
.Net Framework 3.5.1 Installed
ASP.NET Installed

Whenever attempting to install WebTracks_2011_811.exe, the installation begins to copy files and gets to the following status:

Creating IIS virtual diectory WebTracks

At this point, it immediately goes into status:

Rolling back action

The installation does not complete

- Is there something missing that the install requires that isn't being seen?
- Are there permissions that need to properly set in IIS that is preventing the install from writing what it needs to?

Logged into the server as a domain admin with local administrative privelages.  Running the installation as administrator.

Hi,

I'm sorry your are experiencing this error but thank you for posting it here.  It seems on 2008 R2 that step 2 in the installation guide is required before step 1.

So basically enable-32 bit applications in the 'DefaultAppPool' within IIS and then try the installation again.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
