Hello,
I'm getting a 401 Unauthorized error in the Windows event log every hour. When I look at the IIS log I see the following (these entries continue for every hour):
2014-11-16 00:00:27 W3SVC295247924 192.168.XXX.XXX POST /webtracks/services/webtracksservices.asmx - 80 - 192.168.XXX.XXX Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+MS+Web+Services+Client+Protocol+2.0.50727.3662) 401 5 0
2014-11-16 00:01:27 W3SVC295247924 192.168.XXX.XXX POST /webtracks/services/webtracksservices.asmx - 80 - 192.168.XXX.XXX Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+MS+Web+Services+Client+Protocol+2.0.50727.3662) 401 5 0
I have a scheduled task that runs at night to audit computers and that has been completing normally so I don't know what else would post every hour?
The IP address that appears both times in the log entry is the IP Address of the server that webtracks is on.
Any insight would be appreciated, doesn't seem to causing a problem just makes the event log look bad.
thanks!

This is a caused by a bug in the Web Tracks 2014 version 9.20 installer when upgrading from a previous version.  It affects the Email-To-Ticket converter as it's unable to process emails due to  insufficient authorization to the Web Tracks site.

Here are the steps to fix the issue:

1.  On the server where Web Tracks is installed open notepad.exe as an Administrator.

2.  Paste in the following code:

<configuration>

  <system.web>

    <authorization>

      <allowusers="*"/>

    </authorization>

  </system.web>

</configuration>

3.  Save the file as "C:\Program Files (x86)\Gritware\Web Tracks\WebRoot\services\web.config".  Do not save with a .txt extension.

4.  A
fter saving the file verify the ‘Network Service’ account has read permissions to the file.

5.  Restart the "Web Tracks" Windows Service (in services.msc).

Sorry for any inconvenience,
