Patch 722 error

I have tried this on two different clients (Vista 64 and XP 32), the result is the same. I have MT 2009 V. 7.12.

The error is:

The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer at that you have the correct upgrade patch.

Forum: Mouse Tracks

Disabling Helpdesk selection

We would like to remove or at least disable the helpdesk selection from Mouse Tracks Web, and use just the knowlegebase feature.

I noticed in the mtHeader.ascs a "urldisabled=" in the helpdesk image tag. Is there a way for us to signify that the helpdesk menu item is disabled? Can I just remove the whole menu item by editing the mtHeader.ascx? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!
Forum: Mouse Tracks Web

Admin cant get in (urgent)

Hi There,

we have a major problem, for some reason the admin user is saying incorrect password but I know I am inputting it correctly.

There are only 2 of us that use the MT Windows client and neither of us has changed the password!

neither of us have logged in for a few days (due to the weekend)

I tried to connect to a old backup copy of MT and it said the same "invalid user name or password"

I opened the database and checked the tbl_user table and the user exists, the userpassword field is the same in the backup copy of MT as well as the live one.

I have had a few tickets created over the weekend so I would like to continue with the live version of MT.

We are still runnning 7.2.1

I did do an active directory sync on friday, but I have been logging into MT as user 'admin'. There is an AD group 'Admin' which isn't a user, but the backup version of MT I was trying to log into was from before the AD sync so not sure why I wouldn't be able to log into that one either.

any ideas? what do you recommend?

Thanks

Jonathan
Forum: Mouse Tracks

Export Data List freeze

I am trying to use the Export Data List button to export the data to an Excel spreadsheet, but it keeps freezing Mouse Tracks. I have to kill the process and restart the application to get access to the data again. I have v7.22 installed but cannot find any other posts regarding this topic. I have tried waiting for hours just to see if it would ever respond, but it never does. I have attached a screen shot of what the application looks like when I click the button. I believe it is supposed to prompt me for confirmation once I click the button, but there are no other windows present.
Forum: Mouse Tracks

Automatic In Progress

Would be nice if there was an option built into the software, that when writing comments into the Work Info field, then changing/closing the ticket would automatically put the Ticket Status as In Progress.
Forum: Mouse Tracks

Admin Password not working

Hi There,

We have MT 7.2.1 running an access database.

We have the 3 user licence and it was allcoated to 3 people but only one of them was used until now. I removed the licence from 1 of the people and assigned is to a new user I created (new staff)

They can log into MTWeb using their Active Directory password but they couldn't get into the windows app with it.

I assigned a different password to them in MT and tried that on the MT app and that didn't work either.

I would like to get them using the MT app rather than MTWeb.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
Forum: Mouse Tracks

Audit on new domain

I am trying to audit computers on a new domain. My username / password are the same for both domains. When I test the LDAP Query I receive a message MT Audit Wizard 7.2.1.0 'A referral was returned from the server.' The new domain is a Windows 2008 domain and I am running the client from Windows XP Pro. I am sure it's a security setting on the new domain, but I'm not sure where changes need to be made.
Forum: MT Audit

After an audit, all of our Dell Optiplex 960's with Intel Core 2 Quads (Q9550 @ 2.83Ghz) show up as having an "Intel Pentium III Xeon processor." It has the correct number of cores listed and the correct speed but the name of the processor is wrong.
